For the first time Russia shot down a Ukrainian long-range rocket. Rusai announced that the Ukrainian long-range rocket was supplied by the United States (US).
Such weapons are said by Kiev to be key in anticipating counterattacks against Moscow forces that continue to invade its territory.
Reported by AFP, Wednesday (29/3/2023), the announcement was made by the Ministry of Defense Russia after Ukraine revealed it had received supplies of modern Leopard and Challenger tanks from Germany and Britain. The tank and Challanger are said to be used to repel Moscow troops in the east and south of its territory.
“(Troops) Air Defense shot down… a GLSDB guided rocket,” the Russian Defense Ministry said in a statement, referring to the small diameter land-launched bombs manufactured by Boeing and Saab Group.
Recent fighting between Kiev and Moscow forces has centered on the town of Bakhmut, with Ukraine claiming its troops are holding out in the center of the Donetsk region city to exhaust Russian forces so they can easily push them back.
