According to him, Russia will fulfill its obligations to other partners in the International Space Station and leave the project.
“The decision to leave the station after 2024 has been made,” Borisov said.

Earlier this month, NASA and Roscosmos struck a deal whereby astronauts will continue to fly Russian rockets and Russian cosmonauts will fly to the International Space Station using SpaceX starting this fall.
The agreement ensures that there will always be at least one American and one Russian aboard the space station to keep both sides of the orbiting outpost running smoothly.
Amid growing tensions between Russia and the West over Russia’s war against Ukraine, Russian-American cooperation in space continues.
Russian officials have previously announced Moscow’s intention to leave the space outpost after 2024.
Recall that China is also constructing a space station that could become a competitor to the ISS. Two modules have already been assembled. They want to send the third module of the Tiangong station in the fall of 2022.
