Russell Crowe celebrates his 60th birthday. Has he finally calmed down?

He was born in New Zealand but lived in Australia from the age of four. He then spent his puberty in his native country, but finally returned at the age of twenty-one Russell Crowe back to sydney. The spark between them jumped so big that the actress left her then-husband Dennis Quaid because of it.

However, the happy ending did not happen, as quickly as the spark ignited and went out. Well, at least from the part of the actress, for whom Crowe was said to be too hrr. He bought her a puppy, pressured her, wanted children. The actress broke up with him, but he still hoped. When she refused to accompany him to the Golden Globes, he took it very hard. Even though the actor was not very successful in love at that time, it was a great show in terms of his career. In addition to the Life Test, he filmed probably his biggest blockbuster – Gladiator movie. The epic picture got great reviews, the audience was excited about it and we’re not going to lie, seeing Crow in his best physical condition, his muscles and manly body was just worth it. The film won five Oscars, including a statuette for Crowe himself for Best Actor in a Leading Role.

The only woman the actor ever married was a singer Danielle Spencer. They met in 1989 when he was filming his first movie (The Crossing). He said he knew even then that he wanted to marry this woman, but they were both very young, focused on their careers. He longed for Hollywood, she had dreams of Sydney. And so they broke up. “We were both too young to settle down, but we never lost touch. And a strong friendship is a great foundation for a partnership,” Danielle Spencer told the magazine Daily Mail Australia.

Both believe that when something is meant to happen, it will happen when the time is right. In their case, it was 2003 when they got married. They had two sons, and for many years the world thought they were a happy couple, but they finally announced their separation in 2012 (they were officially divorced in 2018). The actor is famous for his explosiveness and limited ability to control his emotions. In 2004, he drunkenly bit his bodyguard on the ear after signaling it was time to go home. A year later, in a frenzy, he ripped the phone out of the socket at a New York hotel and ran with it to the front desk, where he threw it at a local employee and slapped him a few more times. All this just because he failed to call Australia. He was taken out of the hotel in handcuffs and threatened with prison, but he settled with the victim out of court, so he ended up not going behind bars. In 2016, he got into a fight at a Japanese bar in Australia over an argument over which rugby team was better.

The actor himself admitted in the past that his outbursts of uncontrolled anger spoiled his image and complicated his work. In recent years, however, he seems to be calmer, and it seems to be at ease in his love life. After the divorce, there was speculation about his number of new loves, but it seems that he has settled down with actress and realtor Britney Theriot. They have been together since about 2020when they were caught by the paparazzi in various ways, but they officially appeared together on the red carpet only in 2022. And last year they also visited the Karlovy Vary Film Festival together, where Crowe was one of the foreign stars and where he also received the award for his contribution to world cinema.
