Rumor: Surprising images of unannounced game Hideo Kojima appear online – Games – News

An astonishing video has surfaced online of what is purported to be Overdose, Hideo Kojima’s as yet unannounced game. The main character of the horror game is played by Margaret Qualley; she previously she had a role in Kojima’s Death Stranding.

It is a gameplay video where the main character walks through a dark room with a flashlight. At the end of the video, the character apparently dies, after which the “game over”, the name Hideo Kojima and the title Overdose enter the scene.

The images are unconventional, also because the creator of the video is recognizable several times in the reflection of the screen. He has a naked upper body. Usually do it losers make every effort not to be identified for fear of possible legal consequences.

The man also records images of a video recording. The original footage appears to be played on a laptop via YouTube, which is recorded from an unknown source. This video is played on a smartphone, which the man in skimpy clothes then films with his smartphone.

Despite the unconventional aspects of the video, there are several important details to note in the video. Margaret Qualley is the main character; she previously she had been associated with Hideo Kojima’s Overdose project by usually well-informed game reporter Tom Henderson. Kojima has previously confirmed who is working on a game with Xbox Game Studios; this is according to Henderson de Overdose game.

The Japanese game maker is also working on a sequel to Death Stranding. Given that Qualley played in the original, it could be that Overdose and the Death Stranding sequel mean the same thing, although that’s a little more unlikely given the horror elements and non-futuristic setting that indicate a completely different game.

The original images were shared on Streamable but have since been removed. The video above was uploaded by a third party, not the original source.
