SpaceX launched a new satellite on the Falcon 9 rocket. After completing the task, the rocket successfully landed on a special platform located in the Atlantic.

SpaceX was responsible for launching a new GPS satellite for US space forces as part of the Cape Canaveral mission in Florida. The satellite is to replace one of the older, less efficient satellites in orbit – keeping their number at 31. The whole structure has been designated as GPS III SV03 and is part of the block with equipment designed by Lockheed Martin. The module itself is to be three times better in terms of positioning accuracy and even eight times less susceptible to interference.

This is another SpaceX mission which involves signing a “transport” agreement to launch a satellite into space. In the future, the American company will also continue to cooperate with the US military.
