Samsung would like to provide its top model Galaxy S20 Ultra 5G with an option for 16GB of memory. More details have also appeared about the camera set-up on the various phones from the supposed Galaxy S20 series.
That would make it the first smartphone with 16GB of memory. It will be a more expensive option, claims XDA Developers employee Max Weinbach. According to rumors, the model comes standard with 12GB of memory. The storage goes up to 512GB and users can put a memory card up to 1TB in it.
XDA has also published details about the cameras of the S20 models. The S20 + has a Sony IMX555 as the primary camera, the site claims. That is a 12-megapixel camera with pixels of 1.8 microns in size. The sensor is therefore a lot larger than the 12-megapixel camera of the Galaxy S10, which has 1.4 microns in pixels. The secondary camera is a S5KGW2 from Samsung itself and that is a 64-megapixel sensor that is also larger than the primary sensor of the S10. The function is unknown.
The camera set-up of the S20 + differs considerably from the S20 Ultra, which has a 108-megapixel sensor and a secondary 48-megapixel camera, Weinbach says. XDA claims that the camera will get a pro mode for video. There will also be a feature called Single Take, with which the camera makes its own footage and the software the best images to save.
Samsung has planned an event on 11 February, where it will probably show the successors of the Galaxy S10 phones. For a long time those phones were called in the rumor circuit Galaxy S11, but it seems that Samsung will bring the numbers in line with the year and therefore chooses S20.
