Windows 10 by subscription? The site WindowsUnited claims to have received confirmation from a reliable source that Microsoft 365 for individuals will integrate Windows 10. This is indeed the specific and optional framework of Microsoft 365 for consumers, without impact on other users.
With such a subscription, Microsoft would offer special Windows 10 features and bonuses not available to ordinary Windows 10 users.
Microsoft officials have already lip service to a consumer version of Microsoft 365 and with a subscription plan that this implies.
Currently, Microsoft 365 corresponds for businesses to a suite with Office 365 and Windows 10. Via a subscription, it combines Office 365, Windows 10 and Enterprise Mobility + Security including a device and mobile application management solution (Intune), an integration to Azure Active Directory.
Mary Jo Foley (ZDNet) recently spoke about Microsoft 365 for consumers as M365 Life (code name Alta) with a launch which should take place next spring. For Microsoft 365 Life, however, she alluded more to a new name for Office 365 Personal or Home, with the integration of a password manager, as well as a “life” version of the Teams collaborative platform.
However, it did not mention Windows 10 with Microsoft 365 for consumers, and therefore a related subscription.
