Since 19 September, the city of Lille, in collaboration with the European metropolis of Lille, has started renovating the public space in rue Saint-Etienne and part of rue de l’Hôpital militaire, from rue Nationale to rue du Vert -Bois.
The project
This development will make it possible to renovate, calm the streets and improve the living environment of this sector:
- Development of a meeting area in rue Saint-Etienne;
- Paving with cobblestones for the rue Saint-Etienne, and bitumen for the pavements and the street of the rue de l’Hôpital militaire;
- Plantations shrubs and plants;
- Installation of 20 bicycle racks.
Working hours and impacts
From 19 September to the end of October 2022, rue Saint-Etienne:
From late October to early December 2022, rue de l’Hôpital militaire – between rue Nationale and rue du Vert-Bois
- Parking neutralized,
- One-sided pedestrian path and traffic restrictions,
- The carriageway will be temporarily closed.
Waste collection will take place at the collection points. Access to shops and homes is maintained.
