Sprays, brushes, a wall and a lot of art. With these ingredients, Rudi from Alicante has won the National Graffiti Leaguea competition in which the best urban artists in Spain have faced each other for a year.
The tournament, which has been held for four years, is similar to the soccer league, but where the ball is replaced by murals and artistic graffiti. A director and a series of specialist judges are in charge of selecting the participants, between 30 and 50who compete throughout the year.
The artists present different proposals that are valued by both the judges and veterans of urban art and the public through social networks. The graffiti artists are receiving scores and the top ten overall travel every month to a Spanish city to compete and paint live.
The final was held in Tenerife last December, where Rudi won.
