Meghan Markle got help with her delivery over the phone
Meghan Markle gave birth to her daughter Lilibet last month. She was assisted by British obstetrician Gowri Motha, who also helped Meghan give birth to son Archie. Motha has a clinic in London and was unable to go to California to assist Meghan and her husband Prince Harry during the birth of their second child. The couple liked the way the midwife worked, so she was asked to help from the UK after all. “It was very sweet of her. I feel honored,” said Motha. She supported Meghan remotely during her delivery. That happens more often. “I can’t help babies into the world through Zoom, but I’ve done it a few times through FaceTime and the phone.” The midwife does not say whether Meghan also uses Motha’s postnatal program. If the Duchess of Sussex does, then after the birth she ate mainly vegetarian for a few weeks, was massaged for days and mainly stayed indoors.

Charlene already posted a trailer on her own Instagram account. The video shows fragments of their marriage, but also how Albert cheered her when she was still a swimming champion. “Happy wedding anniversary Albert”, Charlene wrote with the images. “Our beautiful children are a blessing, thank you for that.” The ten videos will be launched on an official YouTube channel on July 1.

Prince Charles makes a mistake when awarding a ribbon
–
It seems that Prince Charles is not immediately a fan of British soap operas. The prince had to present a ribbon to actor Rudolph Walker (81), known from the soap ‘Eastenders’. But Charles praised him for his role in competitor ‘Coronation Street’ – something for which he immediately apologized. In any case, Rudolph himself did not let it get to his heart and immediately invited the prince for a visit to the set. Perhaps Charles’s confusion has something to do with the fact that he made his appearance on Coronation Street several years ago, to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the series.

Last Sunday, Great Britain celebrated Father’s Day. Kate Middleton also ensured that Prince William would not soon forget the day. She posted a fun video online, featuring some never-before-seen photos of her husband. One of the photos shows William in ceremonial costume during Trooping The Color in 2019. He has son Louis on his arm, George and Charlotte standing on either side. Fans were very touched by the image. George’s heartfelt embrace was particularly striking. By the way, on Sunday William went out with Charlotte and George. They were attending a local sporting event and seemed to be having a lot of fun doing it.

Queen travels to Scotland with daughter Anne and grandson William
–
Queen Elizabeth heads to Scotland for the annual Holyrood Week, during which she only deals with Scottish affairs. Last year the visit was canceled due to corona, this time the Queen is allowed to leave. During her tour, Elizabeth visits various charities, businesses and cultural institutions. The tour takes her to the cities of Edinburgh, Glasgow and Stirling. During her visit to Scotland, she will stay at the Palace of Holyroodhouse, Elizabeth’s residence in Edinburgh. However, she will not go alone. Grandson William joins her on the first day of her tour, then Princess Anne joins her mother. Due to the visit to Scotland, Elizabeth may not be able to attend the unveiling of the statue of Diana in the garden of Kensington Palace on July 1. Princes Harry and William will be there. They will reportedly each give a separate speech in tribute to their mother.
