The lawyer and former leader of the African Club Kamel Ben Khelil wanted to intervene to clarify a few points in the case of Serge Nicolas Song and Didier Rostan Yimga.
Indeed, the lawyer of the two Cameroonian players asked FIFA to relegate the African Club and to punish its president, Abdessalam Younsi for “having falsified the signatures of the players in question”. But the club management reacted in stride. According to Assarih, officials of the Bab Jedid club threatened the two Cameroonians to prosecute them for extortion and fraud. A complaint has even been lodged with FIFA and the Cameroonian authorities.
Kamel Ben Khelil specifies that an amicable agreement had indeed been concluded with the Cameroonian players through a Cameroonian law firm. Only, another representative of the two players intervened to demand the payment of an additional sum, something refused by the steering committee of the club formation, which led to all the current controversy.
The club lawyer specifies that recordings will support the file of the African Club in this case, while adding that a complaint will be filed in Tunisia against several parties with several supporting evidence.
