It’s been in the air for a few days, Javier Ribalta was to join the sports management of OM. It is now official, the 41-year-old Spaniard will be the club’s new director of football, under the chairmanship of Paul Longoria, when he was his superior a few years ago at Juventus Turin. The official statement further states: “During his time at Juventus Turin, from 2015 to 2017, Javier was able to team up with Pablo Longoria, forming a duo combining modernity, methodology and experience in the field of recruitment. Reunited again, this time at the club’s management Marseille, the Spanish leader will be responsible for overseeing the club’s overall sports policy”.
This same press release specifies that David Friio, at the club since 2020, moves from the position of technical director to that of sports director, thus ensuring the relationship between management, the professional group and the scouting teams.
