Photo: Thomas Obermeier How long the Schloss pharmacy in Rottenbauer has been around cannot be said exactly, but owner Annemarie Zwurtschek believes it has been 25 years. She took over the branch herself in 2011 when the previous owner retired. The pharmacy is now closed nine years later. Zwurtschek explains this step primarily with economic reasons. The pharmacy sector is currently changing fundamentally, says the owner. “Online retail is getting bigger and bigger, a small pharmacy has little chance.” Because the castle pharmacy has emergency service every nine days, you also face a personnel problem, explains Zwurtschek. Anyone who needs medication will soon no longer get it when they walk through this door. Photo: Thomas Obermeier – The location of the pharmacy in a side street without parking spaces is also unfavorable. The closure of the branch was only the last step, Zwurtschek had been trying for a long time to find other solutions. However, their search for more centrally located premises was not very successful, and she criticized insufficient support from the city of Wrzburg. In the end, she was forced to close the pharmacy. She asserts: “I would have liked to have stayed, for the sake of the people alone, but a pharmacy must also support itself, it must also be economical.” “Online retail is getting bigger and bigger, a small pharmacy has little chance.” Annemarie Zwurtschek– Closing the only pharmacy in Rottenbauer creates a gap in the district. In particular, the many senior citizens who were dependent on the pharmacy did not want to leave Zwurtschek out in the rain. She points out that the Sonnenhof pharmacy on Heuchelhof, which is also in her hand, can be reached by car or tram in just a few minutes. There is also a delivery service that can be used to order medication at any time by phone. The employees from the Rottenbauer branch would also have liked to take them both over, according to Zwurtschek. However, while the pharmacist will continue to work at the Heuchelhof, the other employee voluntarily quit to look for a new employer. What happens to the vacant premises in Rottenbauer is obviously still unclear. These are owned by Zwurtschek’s son-in-law, who would like to rebuild here first. A possible subsequent tenant is however not known to Zwurtschek. – Rottenbauer Lukas Brand Pharmacies employer automobile Branches Medicines and medicines Employees and staff District City of Wrzburg Trams – – – Related posts:complicated situation for breeders - AgriMaroc.maRising Organized Crime and Drug Trafficking in Nîmes and Béziers: Are Medium-sized Cities Becoming H...There is no hope for free time in retirement!
