Sister Valentino Rossi, Luca Marini, became the winner of Moto2 Spain 2020 at the Jerez Circuit on Sunday (7/19), by beating Tetsuta Nagashima.
Marini won the Moto2 Spain 2020 with a time of 39 minutes 23.297 seconds. Marini is ahead of Nagashima with a 1.227 second advantage.
The third place was Nagashima’s teammate at KTM, Jorge Martin, who was 4.838 seconds adrift. Martin actually had led the Spanish Moto2 2020 race, but began to overtake Marini since the second lap.
Marini continues to maintain the position to finish without significant pressure. This is Marini’s first win in Moto2 2020 after failing to finish in the Qatar Moto2 race on March 2020.
“I am very happy, the team did a good job since Friday morning. I think we won since in that position. I used a motorcycle with a race, but the speed of the motor when it was quite slow,” Marini said after the Spanish Moto2 race in 2020.
“Nagashima is very fast this season. These results are good, maybe in Qatar I can get the same results if I don’t have problems with the front tire,” continued Marini.
Nagashima still topped the Moto2 2020 standings with 45 points after winning the first series in Qatar.
