PSV will meet again this month with Mohamed Ihattaren and agent Mino Raiola. Although there is still no agreement, the Eindhoven club is confident that it will end well. That is different Denzel Dumfries, Voetbal International reports.
PSV wanted to hit a ‘double blow’ by extending both Ihattaren’s and Dumfries’ contracts. However, the talks with the captain and Raiola yielded nothing, you know WE. Dumfries, which still has a contract until mid-2023, has set its sights on a transfer and wants to await the developments. PSV hoped to extend with a view to a higher transfer fee, but now seems to be satisfied with an amount of twelve to fifteen million euros.
Where negotiations on Dumfries have stopped, the addition of Ihattaren is not easy either. This is evident from the fact that PSV has been in talks with Raiola about the playmaker since the spring of 2020. However, the relationship with the agent is good, which means that confidence is still high in the Philips Stadium.
Ihattaren, who will turn nineteen on Friday, is still fixed until mid-2022. If no agreement is reached, the club will have to sell him next summer. There is therefore no question of a ‘Brian Brobbey scenario’, which leaves the door at Ajax free of transfer.
