Cristiano Ronaldo caught on camera laughing watching Manchester United when slaughtered by Brighton & Hove Albion at the American Express Community Stadium in the English League continued, Saturday (7/5).
Goals from Moises Caicedo, Marc Cucurella, Pascal Gross and Lendro Trossard ensured Manchester United’s crushing defeat when they traveled to Brighton.
Not only did they lose badly at Brighton, Man Utd also certainly failed to qualify for the Champions League next season after failing to penetrate the top four positions in the Premier League standings this season. MU is currently in sixth position in the standings with 58 points.
Ronaldo, who played fully in this match, was unable to do much in dismantling Brighton’s defense. Even the Portuguese player was caught on camera laughing when MU conceded for the third time in the 57th minute.
Ronaldo didn’t seem to believe how his team played when they were slaughtered by Brighton, a club that is in ninth place in the Premier League standings.
“[Tawa] Ronaldo describes the condition of Manchester United today. I wonder if Ronaldo is laughing at his team-mates, or is he laughing at the situation. Like he wanted to say, ‘What happened, am I at Man Utd at the moment or not?’,” Dion Dublin told Sky Sports. Daily Mail.
Liverpool legend, Graeme Souness, also commented on the incident Ronaldo was caught on camera laughing when he saw MU being slaughtered.
“Ronaldo was like thinking when I was last here I had Paul Scholes, Roy Keane, Rio Ferdinand and now I have them,” Souness said.
The defeat to Brighton left Manchester United five points behind Arsenal in fourth place in the Premier League standings with one game remaining.
