Dutch football legend Danny Blind claims Cristiano Ronaldo be the cause Manchester United It’s been hard to get good results lately.
Ronaldo returns to Old Trafford after signing from Juventus. The Portuguese star was also able to pack five goals from seven matches in all competitions.
Ronaldo also became the decisive figure for Man Utd’s victory over Villarreal in the Champions League. The 36-year-old scored a goal in injury time which made the score 2-1.
Ronaldo’s sharpness does not necessarily make Man Utd continue to progress perfectly. The Red Devils lost to Young Boys and Aston Villa, were knocked out of the League Cup due to a loss to West Ham, and were currently only able to draw 1-1 when they met Everton in the Premier League match, last weekend.
Reported from Daily Mail, a series of disappointing results that made Blind believe Ronaldo was actually a problem for Man Utd. This is because Blind thinks Ronaldo only thinks about goals and does not let his team-mates play in the style they know.
“Ronaldo doesn’t need to be too active. Normally, strikers run from one opposing centre-back to another. This will cause a lot of miscommunication. Now, they don’t play in the style they know,” Blind told Dutch media Sportnieuws.
