Rohlík will switch from CNG to electric cars. With E.ON, they will also build their own chargers for them

From CNG-powered cars to the online supermarket Rohlik.cz plans to move to electric cars. All of its delivery cars are to be electric by 2025, the company said in a press release.

Rohlík’s purchases are currently being delivered by 700 of its own vehicles, and 24 of them still run on electricity. By the end of the year, there should be 42 electric cars, and more are expected to increase rapidly, the company promises.

At the same time, Rohlik, in cooperation with the energy company E.ON, will build a network of chargers for its electric cars. It will start at its distribution centers in Prague and Brno and wants to have a total of 400 by the end of next year.

The store will also put 23 freight e-bikes into operation by the end of the year. They have to carry purchases weighing up to 180 kg (plus courier) and have a range of up to 40 km. “I am convinced that next year we will have the largest fleet of electric cars in the Czech Republic and probably in the whole of Central Europe,” says the head of Rohlik.cz Olin Novák.
