Roda JC was beaten at De Graafschap on Saturday, but has recovered at home against FC Dordrecht: the South Limburgers are currently at the top of the Kitchen Champion Division next to NAC Breda. Young Ajax was allowed to cheer for the first time after three defeats in a row and did so after a great win at Go Ahead Eagles.

The team of Jurgen Streppel had lost its unbeaten status after a 4-0 defeat at De Graafschap, but picked up the thread again on Friday evening. Dordrecht was close to the opening goal after an early scrimmage, but otherwise it was all Roda that hit the clock. Anthony Swolfs held on to his goal for half an hour, then things went quickly: Roland Alberg used a penalty and Jordy Croux made it 2-0.
The 3-0 was also not long in coming: left back Amir Absalem steamed up shortly after the break and coolly bounced the ball over Swolfs. The match was thus decided: Roda saw newcomer Erik Falkenburg and trainer Jurgen Streppel get red, but the three points were no longer in danger. In extra time it even became 4-0, thanks to the two backs: Absalem got free passage and left it to Marzo.
Go Ahead Eagles-Jong Ajax 0-3
The water was on Young Ajax’s lips, after three consecutive defeats and a last place as a result. However, the talents of Mitchell van der Gaag found themselves back in Deventer. The difference was made during the underprivileged first half by a utilized penalty from Kenneth Taylor: Young Ajax was allowed to visit the dressing room with a 0-1 lead.
Before Go Ahead Eagles seriously came close to the equalizer, it was already 0-2: Brian Brobbey made no mistake face to face with goalkeeper Jay Gorter. In the extra time it became even more tense: Alex Mendez gave away a penalty kick and got injured himself. Jeroen Veldmate was able to bring Go Ahead back into the game from the dot, but shot high over. Go Ahead put the head in the lap and Victor Jensen even made it 0-3. The second yellow card for Ajax talent Max de Waal was no longer important.
