Robert Lewandowski finally reached for the coveted cup for the victory in the Champions League. In front of the cameras of “Polsat Sport”, the Pole could not hold back his tears when he dedicated his victory to his late father.
Although Robert Lewandowski did not manage to hit the net in the Champions League final, his contribution to the final triumph cannot be overestimated. After the final whistle, the Pole was very moved and extremely happy.
– Honestly, it’s hard for me to say anything because the joy is so great. We have worked so hard for this success, I have tried as much time as the whole team to win this cup. Finally succeeded. I think we made history not only because of the final, but because we won all the Champions League matches and no team has ever managed to do so before. – He said.
– I am very proud of this team, of what we have achieved this season. From how we played, how we showed football. It doesn’t get to me yet, no words – He admitted.
– After the final whistle, I had a dream come true that I worked hard for. Since I was a child, I dreamed about raising this cup up. It is the biggest trophy in club football that can be. So many years of efforts and it finally worked. It is known that the first time is sometimes the hardest – he said.

There is no need to hide that it is a proof that it is worth continuing to work hard, because it is not over yet. I have a few more years of playing and, I hope, success on the international arena. – I can definitely dedicate this cup to my family. To my wife, children, but also to my late father, who is surely looking at me all the time somewhere. He believed in me that I would always be successful and never give up. It is thanks to the support of my relatives and fans that it is easier for me. I try to give them joy, to show that a football player from Poland can achieve great successes – finished.
