Rob Halford has just announced that he will have enough material for his first solo blues album. The singer collaborates with the same team which assisted him during the realization of his Christmas album in 2019, “Celestial”, namely his brother Nigel and his nephew Alex, the son of Ian Hill, bassist of PRIEST.

“I love the blues. Everything comes from the blues. Rock’n’roll, it all started with the blues. And what a great style of music! In addition to my brother and my nephew Alex, there is also my friend Jon Blakey on guitar. I gave them a list of my favorite styles and blues artists as a kind of model. They worked a lot. I now have to find the right words for the texts and put my voice to them at some point ”. said Halford, « It’s all in my phone, I have the album inside and it’s awesome. It’s going to be a special moment, because I’ve always wanted to make a blues record … Once we can get back on our way to the JUDAS PRIEST 50th anniversary tour and once the band’s new album is ready, I’ll release this blues record. »
