Road investments in 2022. A2, S6, S7, S11, S19 – ZRID decisions, GDDKiA plans [lista]

In 2022, the General Directorate for National Roads and Motorways plans to obtain a road investment decision (ZRID) for 55 sections of national roads with a total length of approximately 660 kilometers. Most of them concern the Mazowieckie, Lubelskie and Pomorskie voivodships.

Receipt of the ZRID decision is a signal to start work. Road engineers explain that road investments are carried out in the traditional system or the design and build system.

The first of them means that GDDKiA first selects a design office in the tender, whose task is to develop the documentation needed to submit an application for a ZRID decision. In addition to the construction design, an executive design is also prepared, and after obtaining the ZRID decision, a contractor for the investment is selected in a separate tender to implement it on the ground.

“In the case of investments carried out in the Design and Build system, after receiving the Program Concept (KP) or Technical-economic-environmental study with KP elements, we announce a tender to select a contractor for both the design and construction of a given investment. The contractor prepares the necessary documentation, submits an application for issuing the ZRID decision, and after receiving it, it starts work “- informed GDDKiA.

The ZRID decision is issued by the voivode competent for the location of the given investment.
