Road Closure and Reopening in Ullensvang, Sweden due to Rockfall Incident

ULLENSVANG [Hardanger Folkeblad]: – The road is closed, reported the Swedish Traffic Center (VTS).

The road is expected to reopen later this evening. The police were notified of the incident a little before 21:00 on Thursday evening and moved out together with the contractor. No injuries have been reported following the collapse.

– The road is closed and the contractor has taken over. The road is expected to open during the evening, the police report on Twitter.

Hardanger Folkeblad is informed by the Road Traffic Center that a lot of work has to be carried out to clear away the masses of rock, and that a final decision on when the road can possibly reopen has not been made.

At 21.40 the message was that the road would be opened tonight and that it was not expected to take too long.

– The road will be cleared tonight and one field will be opened. It will take at least an hour to clean up.

The confirmation came at 22.40:

– The road has been opened, but a field is still blocked, VTS reported on X/Twitter.

Riksveg 13 in Oddadalen is an area where there is often snow – and rock falls.
