‘First study worldwide into health effects of ultrafine particles’
–
The Hague – The effects of long-term exposure to ultrafine particles from air traffic have been mapped for the first time. As a result, there are now scientifically proven indications that people who live in a direct radius around Schiphol Airport run more health risks due to ultrafine dust emissions than people elsewhere in the Netherlands. The ultrafine particle concentration and health problems were mapped in 31 municipalities around the airport.
