The major indices of Borsa Italiana and the main European financial centres recorded increases in the order of one percentage point.

At 09.10 the FTSEMib gained 0.88% to 28,234 points, after fluctuating between a low of 28,046 points and a high of 28,267 points. At the same time the FTSE Italia All Share was up 0.84%. Plus sign for the FTSE Italia Mid Cap (+0.55%) and for the FTSE Italia Star (+0,74%).

On the swing the Monte dei Paschi di Siena, after the strong volatility recorded in the previous sessions. The share of the Sienese institute recorded an increase of 0.11% to 2.635 euros.

In fractional decline Telecom Italia TIM (-0,75% a 0,2762 euro). According to what was written in Il Sole24Ore, the sale of the network infrastructure should allow the telephone company to reduce its net debt by around 6 billion euros, bringing it down from 20.82 billion euros (net of lease contracts) at the June 2023 to around 15 billion euros.

Among the protagonists of the day there is also Prysmian (+4,34% a 36,04 euro). The company announced that it has been selected by TSO Amprion (one of the main European transmission system operators) as preferred bidder for the two offshore grid connection systems BalWin1 and BalWin2 and for the DC34 underground cable project. The contracts have a total value of approximately 4.5 billion euros.
