Riot detailed what the capabilities of future Valorant agents might look like as they work to expand their diverse list of characters.
Valorant is an FPS of high fidelity and competitive in the soul. But one of the main attributes that distinguishes the futuristic tactical shooter from the rest of the pack are the characters and their support capabilities.
Divided into four types, each Valorant agent performs its own function in the server. Whether you tip a duelist to support a hyper aggressive play style, or a controller to strengthen your team’s attack / defense, there is an agent suited for you.
While the meta Agent moved to a good place after the patch 1.02, it looks like more characters could join the teams and add some flavor to the mix in the not-too-distant future, according tointerview Eurogamer with some Riot developers.

Asked about the agents’ design work and their corresponding abilities, Valorant’s game director, Joe Ziegler, explored how Riot prioritized the specific functions of certain agents.
“Our framework for the eleven starting agents on our list was to cover the basics of known tactical space functions in a creative and interesting way, while adding some new elements here and there to challenge the notion of what is possible in space.”
“With our future agents, we are looking to broaden this a little bit and challenge new areas of the tactical space and allow the creation of new strategies; new types of games. I will not give spoilers here, but i can’t wait to see how the gameplay evolves with these additions. “
While no specific abilities have been mentioned, it’s clear that Riot wants to reshape the genre of tactical shooter, and agent abilities will play a big part in making that easier.
