Annette Ringier was closely associated with the company throughout her life. It was one of her favorite pastimes as a child, she once reported, playing secretary in her father’s office in Zofingen AG or carrying out the mail in the building. In the 1970s and 1980s, Annette Ringier was responsible for the magazine “100 Ideas” in Germany, was editor-in-chief of “Annette” in Switzerland and wrote as a journalist for “Schweizer Illustrierte”.

Over the past 15 years, she has been a co-owner of the company’s transformation from a publisher to an international, diversified media company.

Annette Ringier was involved in numerous foundations throughout her life. With the Annette Ringier Foundation, she supported social, ecological and cultural projects and aid organizations in Switzerland and abroad as well as the training of journalists in Switzerland. She also campaigned for Ringier employees and former employees in the event of unemployment, illness, disability, old age, death and emergencies.
