Ring to release small 1080p video doorbell in May for 59 euros – Image and sound – News

Ring introduces its Video Doorbell Wired. This smart doorbell only works wired and can record images with 1080p resolution. The Video Doorbell Wired will be available in the Netherlands in May and will cost 59 euros.

Of Video Doorbell Wired is essentially a wired version of the current Video Doorbell, as the name suggests. Other Ring models also run on batteries. That is not the case with the new variant. In addition, the Wired version has a smaller housing than current Ring doorbells. Other specifications are broadly the same; the Video Doorbell Wired offers 1080p resolution, night vision and two-way talk. The doorbell is also compatible with Amazon Alexa and Ring services such as the Protect plan.

The new video doorbell is the cheapest model that Ring has released so far. Previously was de Video Doorbell the most affordable, with a suggested retail price of 99 euros. The new variant should appear in the Netherlands in May and be sold via the Ring website and Amazon. The company does not specify a specific release date.
