On August 31, British actor, comedian and stand-up comedian Ricky Gervais will give a monologue during the ‘Armageddon’ tour. The Briton does this in the Auditori Fòrum del Center de Convencions Internacional in Barcelona, the same place where he also told all his jokes during the ‘Supernature’ tour in 2019.
To that spectacle to attend you must of course understand and understand English well. There is therefore a good chance that there will be more foreigners in the audience than Spaniards, because as we now know, the English of many of the country’s inhabitants is not very good, and certainly not good enough to understand Gervais’ humor.
Ricky Gervais is currently known to many people from the Netflix series ‘Afterlife’, but of course the British comedian has done much more, such as the famous series ‘The Office’ (the original British version). Gervais, along with Stephen Merchant and Karl Pilkington, is the creator of three podcast series called “The Ricky Gervais Show.” These broadcasts gave them a record number of listeners and thus a place in the Guinness Book of Records. On Comedy Central’s Melissa & Joey, Ricky Gervais is considered the funniest man in the world.
