Reyna tied to BVB until 2023 – not earlier than November

Thanks to his promising appearances at Borussia Dortmund, Giovanni Reyna (photo) is now one of the five most valuable players under the age of 18. The offensive man has been used regularly by the professionals since January and increased his market value to 15 million euros until the corona-related devaluation. The American, however, is also high up on a list that fans of the black and yellow should not like: he is one of the most valuable youngsters with the end of the contract in 2021. According to the “kicker”, however, BVB has already employed the talent secured for two more years.

Accordingly, when Reyna arrived at the Bundesliga club last summer, she agreed to a follow-up contract that will come into force when he is 18 years old. As a result, the 17-year-old would be bound from November 13 to 2023, so an official announcement by BVB is not to be expected until then. Background: FIFA allows players under the age of 18 to run for a maximum of three years.

According to the report, BVB has already acted in a similar way with Jadon Sancho (20). The Englishman signed for three years in the summer of 2017 and reportedly agreed to a follow-up contract until 2022, which became valid when he was 18.
