Reviewable permanent prison for the young man who killed his parents and grandfather in the Tenerife municipality of Arona | Radio Club Tenerife

The Provincial Court of Santa Cruz de Tenerife has sentenced the young man who killed his grandfather and adoptive parents in the Tenerife municipality of Arona in March 2018 to 42 and a half years in prison and reviewable permanent prison.

The sentence, made public this Wednesday, considers Ricardo Ortega guilty of the crimes of murder with treachery and cruelty and also imposes compensation of 450,000 euros on the heirs of the victims.

The young man, who was 23 years old when he committed the triple murder, had already been declared guilty by a jury court and against this sentence there is an appeal before the Civil and Criminal Chamber of the Superior Court of Justice of the Canary Islands (TSJC).

The events occurred at dawn on March 23, 2018 at the family home in the Guaza neighborhood when Ricardo, who had been adopted when he was only a few years old, entered the rooms with a knife and killed his family members. in the case of his mother, even with cruelty.
