Revealed! 4 reasons Putin insists on the war in Ukraine

Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia – Russian President Vladimir Putin has attacked Ukraine since February 24. Although the war has not shown really significant progress, Putin still continues his order to fight.

The deputy head of the Russian presidential administration, Magomedsalam Magomedov, said there are four reasons that justify Putin’s war in Ukraine. These reasons are a great threat to Moscow

“The open support and promotion of neo-Nazi ideology, the rapid militarization of Ukraine, the insistent demands for the annexation of Russian territory, as well as the growing threat to our national security and stability leave our country’s president Vladimir Putin no choice but to launch special military operations, “Magomedov told Russian media on Thursday (3/11/2022) TAXwhich is quoted News week.

Meanwhile, more than eight months have passed since the start of the war in Ukraine, the war toll on both sides is not updated regularly. Ukrainian military leader Valeriy Zaluzhny said in August that his country had lost 9,000 troops.

The Ukrainian Armed Forces General Staff said in August that Ukraine killed or injured 45,200 Russian army soldiers. Newsweek was unable to independently verify the figures.

Meanwhile, last September, Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu claimed that 5,937 Russian soldiers had died since the war began in February.

Russia has faced obstacles as it continues to fight Ukrainian forces, which have recently advanced in recapturing part of their territory, including parts of the Kherson region. Russian troops reportedly suffered from poor morale and difficulty in sourcing equipment and armor.

Russian troops also reportedly left a roadblock in the Kherson region recently. Several images circulated online showed that the Russian flag had been removed from the city council building.

Yuriy Sobolevskyi, deputy head of the Kherson regional council, posted a photo on his Telegram channel which he said was taken on Thursday.

“Kherson then, now, it will only be Ukraine. And if not for us, you (the Russian team) will take off your clothes (Russia),” he wrote.

Even so, Magomedov argued that war is still necessary to maintain Russia’s existence in the future.

“This is not an easy decision, but it is very necessary, first of all for the future of our country, of our children and grandchildren. This decision is supported by the majority of the Russian people.”
