Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia – The implementation of Level 4 Community Activity Restrictions (PPKM) will end on Monday (9/8/2021). However, since last week there have been 13 regions that have been burdened by the implementation of PPKM level 4.
Regions that are free from the shackles of level 4 PPKM come from three provinces on the island of Java, namely Banten, West Java, Central Java and East Java.
Deputy Chairman of the Committee for Handling Covid-19 and National Economic Recovery Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan emphasized that in the implementation of PPKM Level 4, there were 12 City Regencies that could enter Level 3 and 1 Regency that entered Level 2.
However, Luhut did not mention one district that entered level 2.
“However, there are several regencies and cities that have finally returned to Level 4, not because of an increase in cases but rather an increase in death cases,” said Luhut, who is also Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs and Investment, in his statement this week.
The following is a list of 12 cities (and districts) that have successfully dropped from PPKM Level 4 to Level 3.
Banten
Serang City
West Java
Karawang Regency
Tasikmalaya City
Central Java
Jepara Regency
Tegal Regency
Pati District
Temanggung Regency
Kudus District
Banjarnegara Regency
East Java
Tuban District
Jember
Bojonegoro Regency.
Meanwhile, PPKM level 4 is still ongoing in several areas until August 9 and is waiting for further developments.
The PPKM level 4 policy was delivered directly by President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) taking into account the data on the development of Covid-19 in various regions.
“Therefore, taking into account the development of several case indicators this week, the government decided to continue the implementation of PPKM level 4 from August 3 to 9, 2021 in certain regencies and cities, by adjusting activities and community mobility according to the conditions of each region,” said Jokowi, Monday (2/8/2021).
