We are Thursday, May 21, 2020, 9 years ago today, RC Lens was playing his last game in League 1 to Bollaert stadium, not yet Delelis. Meanwhile, the Blood and Gold had moved up to the first division during the 2014-2015 season but they were then playing at the Amiens Unicorn stadium, the Lens enclosure being under construction for Euro 2016.

RC Lens already condemned

Kermorgant, the executioner
After this big occasion, the Sang et Or will be punished. On a corner, Kermorgant rises higher than everyone else and beats Kasraoui with a powerful head (44th). The RC Lens is sounded just before half time.
When he returned from the locker room, Lens was gone and the Arlésiens were becoming more and more dangerous. Consecutively, Dja Djé Djé, Ghilas and Kermorgant failed to worsen the score.

The Lensois wake up 15 minutes from the end. Bergdich addresses a new good center in the area but Pollet does not frame his head. The last opportunity to return to the score is in the feet of Demont at 30 meters. He tries his luck but it passes right next to the left post of Planté.
Already relegated to Ligue 2, RC Lens bowed 1 to 0 against the red lantern at home. A few days later, the 2010-2011 Artésiens season ended with a heavy defeat, 4-0, at Nancy.
Fortunately, since April 30, 2020, the Sang et Or have returned to Ligue 1. More than 9 years later, the Stade Bollaert-Delelis should be top notch… if the coronavirus does not spoil the party.
