Retirement pension in 2022. Minister Marlena Maląg gave a specific amount

In 2019 Before the elections, PiS promised to introduce a permanent amount and percentage indexation of pensions. The party’s program then said that every year pensions will increase by no less than PLN 70. But this promise was kept only once, in March 2019, before the elections. One year later pensions were supposed to increase slightly by only PLN 50, but the percentage indexation turned out to be more favorable and the smallest benefit increased by PLN 50.88.

Family minister, work and social policy Marlena Maląg gave an interview with “Super Express” on pensions and pensions. Maląg was asked whether with the indexation index at 104.98%, the increase in pensions will be only a percentage? This number was included in the draft budget for 2022.

Maląg replied that at this moment only percentage indexation was foreseen.

With the currently forecast indexation ratio, the lowest retirement and disability pensions due to total incapacity to work as well as family and social benefits will increase from the current amount of PLN 1,250.88 to the amount of PLN 1,312.05, i.e. by over PLN 61

– said the head of the ministry of family, labor and social policy.

Indexation may be record-breaking due to inflation

Maląg was also asked if the indexation index could increase further. The politician replied that its final value will be known in February 2022, just before the March valorization. Its amount will be influenced by GUS data on real values inflation and growth salaries in 2021.

Inflation, on the other hand, continues to rise. Currently, it is already at the level of 5.4%, which is the highest result in 20 years.

“Assuming that the Ministry of Finance carefully estimates the indexation of pensions, it is safe to say that it will exceed five percent. I think it may be around 105.5 percent. – wrote Oskar Sobolewski from the Pension Institute on Twitter.
