Retired colonel Ahmet Zeki Üçok is sentenced to prison!

In the indictment prepared by the Ankara Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office, it was stated that retired military judge Colonel Ahmet Zeki Üçok shared that the person responsible for the July 15 process was “Chief of General Staff and should be tried”.

In the indictment, Üçok was asked to be sentenced to 6 months to 3 years in prison for imposed crime.

At the decision hearing of the case at the Ankara 20th Criminal Court of First Instance, the complainants were present at the attorney of the Ministry of National Defense, Private Aydın and Minister of National Defense Hulusi Akar’s lawyer Samet Can Olgaç, and the lawyer of the accused Üçok Ugˆur Altun. Lawyer Aydın stated that the defendant’s statements exceeded the limits of freedom of expression and requested that they be punished.

Lawyer Olgaç also stated that when the trials of the Supreme Court were kept in his throat, it was fixed that Üçok had committed the crime imposed on him and asked for the conviction of the accused.

6 MONTHS 7 DAYS PILLOWS DELAYED

The defendant’s lawyer requested an acquittal, arguing that his client’s words should be evaluated within the scope of freedom of expression. Judge Celal Savaş, who declared the sentence after the requests were heard, stated that the retired military judge Colonel Üçok stated against the damage of his / her superiority or commanders as stated in article 95/4 of the Military Criminal Code. He explained that he had been sentenced to 6 months and 7 days in prison for the public assault or remedial action and movement to eliminate the sense of security. It was decided to postpone Üçok’s sentence.
