News The Rawicki District Council consists of 17 people. In the district connecting the communes of Bojanowo and Miejska Górka, there were 5 seats up for grabs, in the communes of Jutrosin and Pakosław – 4, and in the commune of Rawicz – 8.
In the communes of the Rawicz County, everything is almost clear – it is known who will manage them for the next term. In Rawicz, Miejskie Górka and Jutrosin, the current mayors will be held. Also in the Pakosław commune, the mayor will not change,
The new mayor will definitely be in the Bojanowo commune, but who will become it will be revealed in the second round of elections scheduled for April 21, 2024.
It’s not that easy with the district authorities. The district board, including the starosta, is elected by the district council in the number of 3 to 5 people, within 3 months from the date of announcement of the election results.
The district council elects the starosta by an absolute majority of votes of the statutory composition of the council, in a secret ballot. However, – the deputy staroste and other members of the management board, at the request of the staroste, by a simple majority of votes in the presence of at least half of the statutory composition of the council, in a secret ballot.
In the Rawicki County Council, PiS won the most seats – four – four committees have 3 seats each, and Nasza Droga – 1. Therefore, no one can rule alone. Now we have to wait to see what coalition will be formed in the district.
