Respawn Admits Apex Legends’ Seer Is ‘Slightly Too Strong’

In a BUT on Reddit, Respawn’s “Gameplay software engineer” Travis Nordin answers a question about Apex Legends’ newest character, Seer. When asked how they view Seer at Respawn and what he’s adding to the game, Nordin replies that Seer is indeed “a little too strong” and that there will be balance updates for him in the next patch.

Nordin says they are positive about Seer because he has a strong release and adds a lot to the game in the form of new gameplay elements like HP bars and an interrupt skill, but all things considered it might be a bit too much vane the good. Someone immediately asked when the balance update will come and whether he has to wait until “midseason”, but Nordin replied that it won’t take that long. Since an Apex Legends season lasts about thirteen weeks, that update will appear within two months (probably much earlier, but nothing is certain).

Seer has launched strong, which was the hope. He’s also brought a lot of new gameplay elements to the game (HP bars, interrupt) which has driven a lot of discussion with players, which is great to see. With that being said is probably a bit too strong at the moment and will receiving some balance updates in an upcoming patch.
