Resources and Aid Available for Asylum Seekers in New York City

NEW YORK — In the midst of the immigration crisis in New York City, in which, according to officials, the needs are great and more than 65,000 asylum seekers have arrived in the city since last year, the Big Apple offers different resources and aid to assist them. The mayor’s office estimates that one billion dollars have been spent so far, a figure that is expected to exceed four thousand in the next two fiscal years.
