In recent months, Volkswagen has faced a number of unexpected difficulties: a fall in demand for cars due to the pandemic and raw software for the new key Golf and ID.3 models. Therefore, serious changes will soon take place among the leaders of the brands Porsche, Skoda and Volkswagen. According to the German edition of Auto Motor und Sport, the current head of the Porsche brand Oliver Blume (pictured) will lead the Volkswagen brand instead of Herbert Diess. Which, however, will remain at the helm of the entire Volkswagen AG concern.

Instead of Blume, Porsche will be led by current Skoda CEO Bernard Meyer. He led the Czech brand after the dieselgate, and before working for 14 years at Porsche, he would not be the first to work there. By the way, this is not the first wave of personnel changes in the concern in recent years. For example, at the end of last week it became known that the technical director of Volkswagen, Matthias Rabe, was transferred to Bentley as the head of the engineering department. It was formerly led by Werner Titz, who will now be engaged in research and development at Seat.
