With respect to the situation that concerns the resolution of the amparos presented by the Secretary of Education of Coahuila (Sedu) to prevent the distribution of the Free Textbooks (LTG), the head of the agency, Emanuel Garza Fishburn, highlighted that the process continues under the jurisdiction of the judicial authority and that the final resolution will be known on February 8.

In the event that a favorable conclusion is reached regarding the delivery of the copies, Sedu is prepared to share the contents with basic level students. In addition, teachers affiliated with the National Union of Education Workers (SNTE) will have academic freedom to carry out an educational process in accordance with the regulations of the New Mexican School (NEM).
It was noted that so far work has been done with the contents of Coahuila Educa, while the new Free Textbooks (LTG) remain protected in the facilities of the Ministry of Education.
“If the resolution is favorable, we will follow the course indicated by the judicial authority and we will proceed to deliver the materials. Teachers will have academic freedom, they will even be able to use both materials to teach their classes. We should not focus on that, but on how we can move forward effectively,” Garza Fishburn mentioned.
