“In general, the usage time of smartphones continues to increase. If a year ago customers used a smartphone for about a year and a half and then bought a new one, now it is already two years. The most in demand are mid-range phones and the average amount spent on the purchase of a telephone was 361 euros. Customers mainly buy mobile phones using the payment option, “says Tele2 Commercial Director Raivo Rosts.
According to the mobile operator, the smartphone market in the first half of the year was negatively affected by the pandemic and the closure of customer centers for almost two months. Although the number of customers on digital channels grew very rapidly, it could not compensate for the closure of customer centers. Currently, the situation is stabilizing and the demand for telephones is increasing again.
