Prime Minister Boris Johnson’s government has taken measures to divide the risk of spread in England into three alert phases. The most risky areas have more severe restrictions on public life than the other regions. The highest alert phase applies in the Liverpool region. Mayor Khan had a meeting with public health officials on Wednesday during which tougher measures were discussed. An official said London is expected to soon have an average of 100 corona patients per 100,000 residents.
