Fire Department Kiel
On February 12th, 2021 at 6:25 p.m. there was a fire in a two-storey residential building on Preetzer Chaussee near the Vienna roundabout. Forces of the professional fire brigade Ostwache and Hauptwache, FF Elmschenhagen and FF Wellsee were alerted. A total of around 70 firefighters and rescue services were on duty.
10 residents of the house are affected. These were looked after in a KVG bus. Two people have been transported to the hospital, eight people are staying with friends.
The fire started in the attic. The flames spread to the entire roof structure, which had to be completely covered over a length of approx. 20 meters. The extinguishing and subsequent extinguishing work lasted until 10:00 p.m. The house is uninhabitable.
The streets affected by the extinguishing water were spread by the waste management company in Kiel.
