‘Resident Evil 4’ ‘Remake’ announced for next-gen consoles

A PlayStation’s State of Play presentation served for Capcom to officially announce the much-rumored ‘Resident Evil 4’ remake.

Originally released in 2005, ‘Resident Evil 4’ is one of the most celebrated games in the series, and given that ‘Resident Evil 2’ and ‘Resident Evil 3: Nemesis’ also had remakes, it was virtually guaranteed that Capcom would give this title the same treatment.

“We want the game to be familiar to fans of the series, while also offering something fresher. This is being done by reimagining the storyline while maintaining the essence of the game’s direction, modernizing the graphics and updating the controls to a modern standard.”can be read in Capcom’s blog post.

It was to give players a little ‘appetizer’ of what they can expect from this ‘remake’ that Capcom shared the first trailer for ‘Resident Evil 4’. The Japanese producer says that the project has several producers who also worked on the ‘remake’ of ‘Resident Evil 2’, so the quality must be assured.

The ‘Resident Evil 4’ remake is in production for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series and PC and will be released on March 24, 2023.
