According to the latest data of the Global State of Mobile Experience, the mobile operator Tele2 provides the best video transmission quality in Latvia on smart devices using the mobile Internet.
In addition, Tele2 is the only Latvian company in this indicator to be among the world’s TOP30 leading operators.
According to the Ericsson Mobility Report, 66% of the world’s data traffic is video content. In addition, it is projected to continue to increase rapidly in the coming years.
“The popularity of video during the pandemic has grown to unimaginable proportions, because working remotely is unthinkable without video calling and video conferencing, similar to the training that took place in remote mode for a long time. In addition, video calls or the transmission of video content, rather than text messages, are increasingly dominating in everyday communication with relatives and friends, ”says Valdis Vancovičs, Chairman of the Board of Tele2.
Tele2 also acknowledges the growing popularity of video on demand content platforms and other modern video viewing tools via the mobile Internet. For example, the number of Tele2 Smart TV Go3 users has increased by about 60% during the year.

The study “Global State of Mobile Experience” is conducted by data analytics company “Tutela”.
To identify the best mobile operators in the world, more than 2 billion mobile network performance tests were performed, involving more than 830 million. mobile users worldwide. The tests were performed between 21 August 2020 and 21 August 2021.
