Rescue Dragon Tomas Rousseaux on the mend after attack on the street in Poland: “Broken nose healed in two weeks” | Sport

Tomas Rousseaux, a regular in the selection of the national volleyball team, has been playing in Poland since 2017 and for GKS Katowice since this season. In mid-October, he was attacked on the street by an unknown person, in which he suffered “a serious injury” according to his club. There would be a criminal investigation. According to local media, the attack allegedly happened near the main square in Krakow, in which Rousseaux suffered head and face injuries and underwent surgery.

His mother Karin Wallyn, who is currently visiting her son in Poland, said that Tomas had been attacked by someone with pepper spray in Krakow: “He fell and broke his nose”. But in the meantime he is on the mend, Rousseaux and his mom also sent a picture of them both today: “Tomas is not allowed to play volleyball for four weeks, which is the normal recovery time with a broken nose. He still has two weeks to go. Tomas actually feels very good and is training calmly with what is possible and allowed, such as cardio training and light physical exercises.”
