It was the second time in five elections that the Democratic candidate received the most votes and lost the battle for the White House. In the 2000 election, Al Gore received half a million more votes than George W. Bush.

Also in this year’s election, Biden has received several million more votes than Trump. Nevertheless, the electoral system has made it very smooth and exciting.
