We already know a new bike for the 2024 MotoGP season. After the presentations of Gresini RacingDucati, Pertamina Enduro VR46, Trackhouse, GasGas Tech3, Yamaha and KTM, this Tuesday, February 13, it was Repsol Honda’s turn.
The official HRC team presented its new RC213V in society at an event in Madrid, the first that it will not pilot Marc Márquez after 11 years. Thus, they will be Joan Mir y Luca Marini those who get on a motorcycle that will change significantly for the next campaign. You can see it in great detail in the following photo gallery.

And, after being in the last Sepang Test with predominantly black motorcycles, it is now official that the decoration that the Repsol Honda hid is nothing other than a return to the origins by HRCsince the bike will have the corporate colors of the house of the golden wing in this 2024 MotoGP season.
Red, blue and white are the colors that win in presence compared to orange. And why will it be like this? These are the consequences of Márquez’s departure from the team. It is worth remembering that, after the departure of #93, a first step took place: the departure of Red Bull as sponsor of the team led by Alberto Puig. Thus, Honda will not be able to have an energy drink brand as a sponsor until at least the 2025 season.
But there is more. Márquez’s departure has also been an impact from Repsol’s point of view. The Spanish multinational is deeply linked to the boy from Cervera, and without him his presence in the 2024 RC213V has been reduced, despite having been linked to Repsol Honda for 30 years in the premier category of motorcycling.
Due to all these movements, Honda will have to face this next campaign with a renewed ‘livery’, in which they hope to leave the results crisis behind, also taking advantage of the new concession system introduced by MotoGP. Already in Sepang some green shoots were seen, although the two drivers of the official HRC squad agreed that they must continue working to reach the front of the grid.
