Tunisian press reports said that the coastal club Al-Najm Sahel put coach Hassan Shehata among the goals to lead the “Jewel of the Coast” team during the coming period.
According to the newspaper, “tunisie-foot” in its French version, Reda Charafeddine, president of the coastal club Al-Najm, began searching for an alternative to the Spanish Juan Carlos Garrido.
The Tunisian newspaper added, today, Thursday, that Hassan Shehata could be an alternative to Jarrido, as the Egyptian coach is expected to leave for Tunisia to meet with the head of the star in order to negotiate the team leadership.
The last stations of Hassan Shehata, the former coach of Egypt, were with Petrojet in the 2016-2017 season before he left the petroleum team in the same season.
The Tunisian newspaper “Al-Sabah” had reported hours ago that Reda Sharafeddine had met with Jaredo for a period of approximately three hours to agree to terminate the contract by mutual consent.
The past period has seen a tense relationship between Guardio and star management, particularly after the Zimbabwe Platinum match in the African Champions League.
Faisal Khalifa, head of the football club in the coastal club, revealed that, in statements to “Yalla Koura”, the head of the Tunisian club may have entered into secret negotiations with Hassan Shehata (See details).
Jarrido has taken over the technical management of the star since the current season, leading him to reach the quarter-finals of the African Champions League after the second group led 12 points, one point behind Al-Ahly.
The Champions League draw, which was held yesterday Wednesday in Cairo, resulted in the star facing his Moroccan counterpart, Wydad Casablanca in the quarter-finals, with the winner of this confrontation meeting the winner from the Al-Ahly and Sundowns South Africa match in the semi-finals.
